Neighborhood Leaders are the driving force behind our local Democratic Party. As a current member of the San Mateo County Democratic Central Committee, I am pleased to announce the establishment of the Neighborhood Leader Program. The objective of this innovative new effort is to empower Democrats throughout our county to get engaged, reach out to voters in their communities and win back the White House in 2008! Anchored in the belief that voters are tired of corporate campaigns featuring automated phone calling and avalanches of direct and electronic mail, the Neighborhood Leader Program emphasizes the value of grassroots person-to-person relationships and the effectiveness of neighborhood organizing. We need to capitalize on the unprecedented excitement that the Presidential race continues to generate. We have attracted millions of new voters nationwide and we need to reach out and inspire them to get involved and commit themselves to Democratic victories this fall. This program is part of the Democratic Party's 50-State Strategy, a plan to take back our country, one precinct at a time. Face-to-face contact is the proven way to create a vibrant Democratic community within our neighborhoods by establishing a dialog with Democratic voters. Neighborhood Leaders are the driving force behhind our local Democratic Party. Please contact me to become involved! We need your energy, your commitment and your participation. |
