I envision utilizing San Pablo schools as assets for community and youth development.
I support using our public schools as hubs or central locations to provide integrated and comprehensive programs and services for children, youth and families. Young people need a wide range of opportunities and support to succeed. Nearly half of San Pablo households have children under 18 years of age. Our schools can serve as networks to support families and to build community by improving health, social, educational and economic outcomes for entire families. Schools serve as a location for families and community to come together in a safe environment for growing, learning and connecting. Through public-private partnerships schools can serve as assets for quality education, youth development, social services, family support, community engagement and community development.
