Although all the schools in the district are on a traditional schedule, elementary schools still maintain two vice-principals.
When there was a need to have year-round shcools due to over crowding the district maintained these year-round schools with an extra vice-principal to help with the high numbers and cover eachother when the other was on vacation(off track) Today, all schools are on a traditional schedule yet the elementary schools still maintain two VPs at a cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars. These administrators are not involved with direct instruction of students. It would be a wiser use of money to spend the money on hiring teachers that could help close achievement gaps and expose our students to field trips and other learning experiences that they are now lacking.
