Alternative Graduation Diploma

This information is provided by the candidate
Students who will not qualify for a regular diploma due to a disability or other factors, or failure to pass both parts of the CAHSEE should be awarded an alternative diploma if they have completed other graduation requirements.
It is my contention that students will remain focused and in attendance if they can look forward to a regular or alternate diploma. Otherwise, they will become discouraged and drop out of school. Many of them do so now before the start of their senior year and limited future possibilities, That bodes ill for our community.
