Candidate for
Trustee; Coast Community College District; Trustee Area 3

I have spend my professional life in education. I hold a persistent belief in the necessity of equality, education, and opportunity for all students. As a member of the Coast Community College District Board of Trustees, I have devoted much time and effort toward sustaining a quality education for everyone and toward increasing access to our colleges and universities.

As a trustee for the Coast Community College District, and as past President of the California Community College Trustees and the past Pacific Region Chair of the Association of Community College Trustees, I have interacted with the broadest spectrum of both governmental and community agencies advocating for community colleges. I also served as past chair of the Association of Latino Community College Trustees, an organization designed to address issues of importance to community college trustees, provide educational workshops, and assist trustees in serving their communities more effectively.

Elected by my collegues, I currently serve as the President of the Coast Community College District Board of Trustees.

I have lived in Huntington Beach since 1977, where my wife and I have raised three children.
