By the year 2012, Orange Unified School District will be one of the top 5 school districts in Orange County (based on district API scores) or I will NOT run for reelection in 2012.Orange Unified School District is now ranked in the BOTTOM 3 among all unified school districts in Orange County. This is unacceptable! A 9th school in our district just joined the other 8 as a 'Program Improvement School'. This is unacceptable! Some of our District schools are having fantastic success. We need ALL of our schools to show success! By 2012, all schools should have exited 'Program Improvement' status and we should be ranked in the top 5 unified school districts in Orange County. If our leadership cannot do this, it should be replaced. I promise to bring our District back into the top 5 of unified school districts in Orange County within my first 4 year term or I will not run for re-election. I challenge all of the current candidates and current Board members to make the same promise to our students and to our community. Our students and staff in the Orange Unified School District deserve EFFECTIVE leadership! |
