IT'S ABOUT THE KIDS

I promise to continue to put the kids first. Every decision I have made on the board has always started with one simple question, how this will affect our children.

This philosophy has resulted in the following successes during my current term:

• Improved test scores, out of the 22 districts in Riverside County, Nuview District had the second highest point gain for 07-08 school year. There were significant point gains at each of the district's four school sites.
• The Nuview Bridge was recognized as the very best Early College High School in California.
• The District's Early Childhood Program won the prestigious California Golden Bell Award.
• Improved school facilities and playgrounds.
• Safe schools for all our children. According to the California Healthy Kids Survey, the Nuview School District is among the very safest school districts in Riverside County.
• Universal Pre-school for every four year old regardless of their family's ability to pay.
