Property values, quality of life, fiscal responsibility, and public safety
As a citizen of Canyon Lake for nearly eight years, I have taken a keen interest in both the POA and the City Council. Attending scheduled meetings regularly has opened my eyes to the many facets of City government. As a well-educated resident, I research issues that come before the City Council. Having served as a Home Owners Association President and a Traffic Commissioner, and studied Environmental Impact Statements on development projects, I believe I can serve the citizens of Canyon Lake, focusing on property values and quality of life.
For the past two years, I have participated on the Quality Assurance Committee. Topics I have contributed to include staff training on service to members; encouraging staff and directors to communicate directly with the public; and finding ways to increase revenue and participation on the golf course. I believe local government should be as transparent as possible, and I listen to as many points of view as possible before making important decisions. Reaching out to residents and really listening to their questions and opinions pays off in local issues. Integrity, trustworthiness, and honesty matter to me.
