The district has adopted a plan to address the the problems of test scores and graduation ratesI fully support the Strategic Plan and want to be part of the Board that implements this plan. The plan addresses issues such as communication with parents and students. Standardizing the curriculum in mathematics to meet all students needs and make efficient use of instructional time. Regularly review and evaluate the curriculum. Make use data from the Fall of 2007 in developing a master plan. Identify students career hopes and develop a curriculum to meet these needs. This will make it easier for students to transition from high school into the work force/further education. Create a district-wide culture of character with integrity at all schools, at all levels. If the plan is embraced by the students, parents and district staff then it will go a long way towards developing a climate in which learning a development will take place. This along with the improvement of the physical plants of the district will instill a sense of pride in the students and parents.. This will go a long way in helping the students learn and strive to improve. this will result in higher test scores and a higher graduation rate. |
