Candidate for
Board Member; Corona-Norco Unified School District

Dear Community Member,

As a parent of school-aged children I realize the importance of being involved with my children's education. Much of a child or teen's day is spent at school. The learning and socialization that occurs during this time is critical not only to their individual success, but in addition to the future of our society. Providing students the opportunity to receive a quality education within a safe environment are the expectation of the students, parents, teachers, staff and community.

This is one of the reasons why I am seeking election to the Corona-Norco Unified Board of Education. One of my goals is to ensure that the Corona-Norco Unified School District can continue to provide quality instruction that meets the ever changing needs of our students and communities. Working together with the community, I would like to see our schools continue as a safe and healthy environment that helps in developing our children into productive adults.

I am a parent of children in the district. I understand the concerns and issues that exist at all levels K-12. I understand as a parent that what occurs at the school site is the most important part.

I am invested in the community. I have lived in the community for 16 years and am involved in a variety of boards and groups that work toward the successes of our youth. I understand how effective learning programs help our schools and I am committed to working on behalf of students, parents, teachers, staff and the community towards greater results both now and in the future.

I can provide leadership. I will work with others to provide meaningful learning opportunities and results within our district. As economic challenges will likely continue to exist in our futures it is important to have leadership that understands the vision for our young people and remains focused upon the goals for success the district has established.
