A concise statement on Lance Christensen's candidacy
During these uncertain times of economic hardships, changing demographics and declining enrollments, we must take a hard look at how we educate our children and operate our school district. I believe in educational opportunities for all. I will ensure that we provide both college track and career technical pathways for the students of the San Juan Unified School District. I am a married father of two, a youth leader in the community and have wide-ranging experience in dealing with policy and budgetary issues. I am invested in the district with the desire to see it thrive so that my children and all students may reach their educational potential. I understand the importance of fiscal prudence. Each student and parent deserves an advocate for the best use of limited resources. I would commit to delivering the most effective services for our students, teachers and schools fully considering the interests of parents and taxpayers. I submit myself to the voters on the grounds of my integrity, forthrightness and determination to serve the students, parents, teachers and schools in this district to the best of my ability. I ask you for your vote and expect to be held responsible for my stewardship.
