Matt Friedman is a native of Burlingame, California and a graduate of Mills High School in Millbrae, CA. He was graduated from with a BA in Biology, Anthropology and Environmental Studies from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN and he earned a Masters in Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina. Rabbi Friedman received an MAHL and Rabbinical Ordination from Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati, OH. In addition Friedman earned certification as an Executive Coach from the Professional School of Psychology in Sacramento. Matt Friedman is currently the President of the Center USD Board of Trustees. He is a Transportation Planner for the State of California and a part time instructor at the University of Phoenix and part time rabbi for Temple Beth Israel in Redding. Friedman is a long time member of the Rotary Club and is a Paul Harris Fellow. He has held numerous community leadership positions including service on the Planning Commission of St. Joseph, MO, the Airport Commission of Hot Springs, AR, the Ethics Committee of the Hearland Regional Health System of St. Joseph, MO.and the Board of Directors of the Auburn Daybreak Rotary Club. In his spare time he enjoys travel, sports and music. Currently Friedman resides in Antelope with his wife Mary, who teaches courses in US History and the Holocaust at Jesuit High School, and their young daughter Talia. |
