- Evaluating ways to work with an ever changing budget and assessing what other external resources can be pulled in to minimize negative impacts on the opportunities made available to our students (i.e. utilizing after school programs involving community service clubs, nonprofit organizations, churches, etc...).
- Looking at other district outside of California for ideas on programs that can be adopted to provide opportunities for our kids in our district.
- Helping to build a reserve in our general fund that helps reduce impact of state budget deficits in the future.
- Supporting teachers that we have put in charge to educate, knowing they are in the trenches with our students and the knowledge they share should be valued and making them feel valuable will build better relationships and reduce teacher apathy in some cases.
- The bonds passed by each community have created haves and have not's, working to find a solution for equality such as the new Smart Boards is a must to give all of our students; having the tools to keep up in the technology world and is a priority.
- Reducing the death of our students behind the wheel of automobiles, bringing in M.A.D.D., CHP and their seat belt simulator, Getting City Police to talk about street racing, the newest killer the cell phone, and finally victims wishing to share how a split second bad decision can change lives forever.
- Finding activities for our students on weekends with a refocus on education during the week.
