- I am a retired Fire Captain with Cal Fire. I have been on Lakeside Fire Board for the last 4 years. In my career, as a Station Captain, my
- responsibilities were to train the firefighters, manage fire station, stay within the budget, and run the firefighters on emergency incidents. As
- a Crew Captain, working with Calif. Conservation Crews, my job was to supervise a fire crew of about 17 firefighters. Again, this included training
- and emergency incidents. Some other duties were Helitac, and other emergency field operations on large incidences. I was the local president of our
- local union,"IAFF2881", and employee representative, protecting the rights of our firefighters. With a total
- of 32 years of fire department experience, the 4 years on the Lakeside Fire Board, I have a total of 36 years.
Priorities:
- Keeping the cost of the Fire Department down
- Maintaining a top rated Fire Chief
- Having the best Firefighters in the County
