Why redevelopment is a key.El Cajon is a large-enough city with enough natural resources that we can be self-sustaining with sufficient planning and preperation. I believe we can plan, zone and design sufficient housing, business and industrial construction to meet the needs of our local economy for long-term success. I am a big supporter of redevelopment. This year, using redevelopment funding, El Cajon has embarked on an extreme makeover of the Main Street/Magnolia Avenue Corridor. It's a great example of how to revive businesses and create new jobs. |
