Candidate for
Board Member; Valley Center Community Planning Area

Valley Center is at a cross roads. We have several major developments coming into our town that will change it forever. We need people on the Planning Group who will give a voice to the people of Valley Center to balance that of the developers. I view my job as a lobbyist for the people of Valley Center. I lobby the County, Bill Horn and others so that they understand better what we need and want. In this respect, the Planning Group has accomplished a lot over the last 8 years. The most significant was finding the proposed SPA of 1600 acres with over 3000 homes and stopping it. We need smart growth, not inappropriate growth. We have worked closely with the County to develop two 'village' centers. This is where the higher density housing should and will be, as well as shopping centers.

I will continue what I have been doing for the last 4 years. Represent the people of Valley Center so that we have a community of which we can all be proud.
