Candidate for
Board Member; Cloverdale Unified School District

A native of Sonoma County, I graduated from our Sonoma County public schools as my parents did. My husband, Mike and I have three sons who attend the Cloverdale Schools. We have been part of, and committed to the Cloverdale community since 2002. I was elected to the Jefferson School Site Council in 2002. I also was elected and served as President, Vice President and Treasurer of the Jefferson PTA. In addition, I've chaired fundraisers that benefited all of the children of the Cloverdale Public Schools. I am an active member and continue to serve on the Cloverdale Unified District Advisory Committee. Currently I am the President of the Fourteenth District PTA and have previously served in the roles of Vice President of Leadership and President Elect. I am part of a team that oversees all PTAs in Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake Counties. I serve on the California State PTA's Education Commission, Scholarships and Grants Committee, and Legislation Committee. Serving on these regional and statewide boards has given me a broad perspective and enhanced knowledge about public education. As a parent I have a vested interest in the education of all of our children. I want everyone to recognize the value and importance of parents, teachers, and community members working together. My goal is to continue improving our schools with new ideas and my passion for education. It would be a privilege and an honor to serve our children as a Cloverdale School Board Member.
