Abbreviated bio of Chris Voccio

Born and raised in Johnston, RI, I started in the newspaper business while in college. My newspaper career took me from The Providence Journal to newspapers in Florida, Texas, Kentucky, Indiana, back to Texas, and finally, to Johnstown, PA.

I fell in love with Johnstown and immediately recognized its greatness and even greater potential. I helped transform The Tribune-Democrat into a positive community advocate, I founded Johnstown Magazine, and I helped start Celebration Johnstown, the summer Concerts in the Park series, the Santa Fund, and so much more.

I reside in Upper Yoder Township, in the Menoher Heights area. I ride motorcycles and ATVs, I'm a private pilot and keep a small plane at the Johnstown airport, and have two dogs.

I'm running for this office because we need to transform Pennsylvania into a state more conducive to job creation, and I know how to get things done.
