- A successful environmental engineer who graduated from Howard and Carnegie Mellon Universities on Full Scholarships.
- A mom of 2 PPS elementary school students and an active member of the school's Parent School Community Council.
- A recent graduate of Pittsburgh's Leadership Development Initiative.

Priorities:
- Improve academic performance in every school and close the achievement gap between white and black students across the District.
- Provide parents with easy access to data and reports upon which key decisions are based, and invite greater input from parents and other stakeholders.
- Look at what has worked at other schools in Pittsburgh and throughout the country and implement those strategies here.
Christine Stone
- Party: Democratic
- Occupation: Office Manager/Accountant
- Community volunteer who has been an advocate for women, children and families for nearly a decade with a proven record of leadership
- Wife and mother of two children who understands that quality schools are important to families and homeowners whose taxes support those schools
- A product of public schools, raised with the values of hard work and family
- An accountant who can bring fiscal expertise to make sure we keep real estate taxes low
Priorities:
- Improve student achievement across all racial and social boundaries
- Ensure school environments are safe, so children can learn and surrounding neighborhoods and businesses can prosper
- Spend responsibly to get the most for our district's children while keeping our taxes low
