I understand our diverse community and the impact the economy is having on all of our residents especially our seniors on fixed incomes. The major challenge in the next 4 years is to continue controlling spending and maintain a high level of services for our residents. I am proud of my record of low taxes. During my first 3 years we have had 0 tax increases and an unavoidable 5.4% increase this year due to the downturn in our country's economy.

We can not afford to return to the days of 35% tax increases like we experienced during my predecessors term. I will continue to fight to combat residential speeding and to work for a strong zoning board that enforces our ordinances to protect our quality of life. My residents know I have been focused on them and not using my position as a steping stone to seek higher office.
