I feel that it is vitally necessary to continue to strive to develop a balanced mix of businesses within Hermosa's commercial sector. We should strengthen our representation of
- hotels to generate increased transient occupancy taxes
- car dealerships, to maximize sales tax revenue
- those current restaurants and desirable retail establishments for continuing sales tax revenue.
In this way, Hermosa will attract not only those seeking a night out, but be able to sustain both a vibrant tourist trade as well as provide needed outlets to serve the residents' consumer needs.
