I am seeking a position as a Governing Board Member in order to be of service and a voice for students, parents, staff and the community.

I am a strong advocate and supporter of children and public education. I believe in an educational vision that ensures and enforces equity as it relates to providing the best instructional practices and best quality of instruction for all students. I believe that learning needs must be the center of every educational program and resource decision. Learning environments must be safe and conditions must enable students to develop and realize their fullest potential. Today's students must be educated in such a way as to enable them to function and particpate intelligently in the political, social and economic progress of our country.

My top priorities if elected are:
1. Increasing student achievement by providing ample support that empowers the professional staff to carry out the direction of the Board and the district's vision for success.

2. To communicate clear, appropriate and factual information to parents, staff and the community concerning district business.

3. To adhere to and enforce board policies and procedures and to hold staff accountable.
