In 2008 the Military Veterans, Teachers, business community, residents and students joined Margaret to "STOP THE SALINAS CITY PRISON" from being built near the Salinas Union High School Districts ROP center on Constitution and Laurel. They knew that a State Prison in the middle of Salinas was the wrong direction for our community. Funding education and after school programs is the better choice for Salinas residents.
