Candidate for
Council Member; Village of Mariemont

Andrew Black first became a resident of Mariemont in 1982 when his parents Biff and Janet relocated to village from western suburbs of Cincinnati. He has been a resident for over 20 years, attending each of Mariemont's public schools. During his summer breaks while earning his undergraduate degree from Miami University, Andrew had the opportunity to work for the Mariemont City Schools Maintenance Department, as well as other small businesses in the village. At Miami, Andrew tried-out and made the varsity football, participating from 2000-2001 before graduating in 2002 with Bachelor of Liberal Arts & Science degree. After graduation Andrew accepted a Sales Representative position with Diebold, Incorporated and was soon transferred to Louisville, Kentucky. While in Louisville he served as a member of the Block Watch Committee for the City of Wellington from 2006-2008. Before returning to Mariemont in the spring of 2008, Andrew earned an M.B.A. from Bellarmine University and graduated Cum Laude.

Andrew currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Mariemont High School Alumni Association and co-chairs the Alumni Activities Committee. He is also a member of the Mariemont Civic Association, and is chairman of the Business Liaison Committee as well as a member of the Youth Mentoring Program and Guest Speaker Committee.

Andrew is a Business Development Manager for Diebold's Outsourcing and Technology Group and operates out of this home office on Pleasant Street in Mariemont.
