I am running for the office of city council member to
replace Robert Urteaga because I believe Montebello
needs strong leadership that can be trusted. I have lived
in our city for over 30 years, have raised four children with
my wife and I have been actively involved in our city since
1989. I am proud of the work I did to help stop the eminent
domain threat and the utility tax. I support our police and
fire departments and will always keep the safety and well
being of every citizen as the highest priority. I am proud of
the fact that I regularly attend city council meetings and
voice my concerns on behalf of myself and fellow citizens.
Recently our city has been threatened by special interest
groups who have tried to control our city. This cannot be
tolerated. I believe all city contracts should be put out
to bid and I believe all our actions must always be in the
best interest of our community. I also believe our beautiful
hills must be protected. I would be proud to serve as a
council member and ask for your vote on February 23rd.

Estoy presentando mi candidatura para el cargo de
miembro del Concejo Municipal para sustituir a Robert
Urteaga, porque creo que Montebello necesita un
liderazgo firme y confiable. He vivido en nuestra ciudad
más de 30 años; he criado a cuatro hijos junto con mi
esposa y he participado de manera activa en nuestra
ciudad desde 1989. Estoy orgulloso de la labor que
realicé para ayudar a eliminar la amenaza del derecho de
expropiación y el impuesto sobre los servicios públicos.
Apoyo nuestros departamentos de policía y bomberos,
y siempre mantendré la seguridad y el bienestar de
todos los ciudadanos como la máxima prioridad. Me
enorgullezco de asistir regularmente a las reuniones del
concejo municipal y de expresar mis preocupaciones
e inquietudes en nombre propio y en el de mis
conciudadanos. Recientemente nuestra ciudad se ha
visto amenazada por grupos de interés especial que han
tratado de controlar nuestra ciudad. Esto no se puede
tolerar. Considero que todos los contratos de la ciudad
deberían hacerse a través del proceso de licitación, y
que todas nuestras acciones deberían tomarse siempre
teniendo presente el mejor interés de la comunidad.
También creo que debe protegerse la belleza de nuestras
lomas y colinas. Sería un orgullo para mí prestar servicio
como miembro del Concejo, y para ello les pido su voto
el día 23 de febrero. Gracias.
