Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Biggs Unified School District

My family settled in Richvale in 1915 and my parents and I attended Richvale/Biggs Schools. I am a retired PG&E executive, dedicated to the community and schools. My experience will enable me to add value as an objective, impartial member of the Biggs Unified School District Board.

During my career I developed, implemented and operated many of PG&E's major computer systems. Additionally, I managed, the company's San Francisco computer center (a 24/7 operation). Later, I managed PG&E's payroll and accounts payable department. During that time, I was responsible for the disbursement of approximately $10B per year in payables and $1B a year in payroll.

These responsibilities required me to interact with external agencies, PG&E vendors (over 100,000), internal and external auditors and every department within the company. I managed each organization I was responsible for as if it were my own business. I made decisions based on need and merit. Decisions that were right, not politically safe.

My managerial experience and extensive training in organizational development, budgeting and industrial relations will be an asset to the District. My experience managing large, diverse departments with multi-million dollar budgets will be helpful as the District faces challenges with finances, student achievement and organizational change.
