Governing Board Member; El Dorado Union High School District

I believe in the basic concept that our kids deserve a first rate education. I understand that not every kid will want to go to College, but they must be prepared to be contributing citizens and given skills to succeed. ROP builds a bridge of knowledge that many successful business people have crossed. Without that bridge we subject students to the void it creates.

We currently have two kids in the public school system, one at El Dorado High School, the other at Markham Middle School. Our oldest son graduated from E.D.H.S. in 2002. This gives me a first hand look at the reality of parent/student relationships and parental responsibility. High School years can be some of the most rewarding and exciting of a young persons life, yet, often it's also the most tumultuous.

I stand steadfast in my belief that given the right tools, every student can succeed in building the road to a bright future. Focus on students.
