Political Philosophy for Bryan Urias

I am seeking election to the Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District because I feel my background and experience make me uniquely qualified to serve as your voice on the Board. I have lived in the San Gabriel Valley all my life, and my work as a Water Education Field Deputy for our local Member of Congress has given me a working knowledge of water issues here in our region. Our local water districts can play a significant role not only in ensuring a sustainable supply of clean water, but also in creating jobs during tough economic times by investing in much needed system improvements. If elected, I will work to increase the supplies of clean reliable water, keep the price of water affordable, and jumpstart projects that keep our water flowing and create jobs in our community. I will also work to improve transparency and accountability in how your tax dollars are being spent. Over the last several years, I have worked closely with the local, state, and federal officials to address water issues here in our region. If elected, I will be able to draw on that experience and institutional knowledge to secure the resources we need to ensure clean, reliable water at an affordable price. With your vote, I will fight for our fair share of water resources, and make certain it is invested in projects that will help create jobs and ensure a safe and reliable water supply for years to come. With your vote, I will be able to put my experience, integrity, and knowledge to work for you. Thank you for your consideration. |
