EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

As County Auditor, I will take hands on approach and work with the Auditor-Controller team on a daily basis. What was acceptable in the past no longer works with the serious economic crises facing local governments today. The County Auditor must be responsive to the needs of the community. 25 years of experience in private industry has taught me to listen, ask the right question, and be proactive. Additionally, 8 years in the County Auditor's Office has given me a clear understanding of its operations and essential functions. The economic conditions today call for a fresh set of eyes and a skill set that is highly responsive to the community. I am the best person for County Auditor because I am a licensed CPA with wide ranging business experience and have been fighting for you since the day joined the US Army in 1971.
