Candidate for
Proposed City of Arden Arcade

As a local businessperson, I have created businesses, projects and jobs, lived within balanced budgets, set priorities, identified people and resources needed, collaborated with diverse groups, mentored young people, exceeded customer expectations, treated people with respect, and always tried to improve our community.

I have lived in Arden Arcade most of my life. Most of my family lives here today. I was educated from preschool through high school in our public schools. After high school, I continued my learning by studying sociology and social relations at Cornell University (B.A.), business and finance at California State University at Sacramento (M.B.A.), and taxation and land use in law school at the University of California at Berkeley (J.D.). I have worked in a number of industries including housing and construction, banking, investments, information technology, real estate and self storage.

I have one adult daughter, Jennifer, who is my favorite person in the world. I have two cats, raise chickens and bees, and grow fruit and vegetables. An avid hiker, I have walked across California and England and have enjoyed many other long-distance trails. I also enjoy reading, writing and competitive bridge. Committed to giving back to the community, I currently volunteer as a Red Cross disaster services worker and trainer, and as a UC Master Gardener. In these activities, as in all that I do, I continually strive to improve the lives of all of us in our community.

Arden Arcade is my home. I care deeply about its future. Please support my candidacy.
