"With the continuing structural deficit (expenses rising faster than income), San Jose faces some very difficult times ahead. My background and experience uniquely qualify me to work with Mayor Reed and the other members of the City Council to help create jobs for San Jose residents and to bring the City budget under control. That is why Mayor Reed and Councilmember Constant have endorsed my candidacy," said Larry Pegram in a recent community briefing. "Our spending must be reigned in now and in future years. Our citizens need to feel safe on our streets and in their homes. I have proven that I can make the tough decisions...on our streets, in the halls of government, in running a business, and working in the community. At a time such as this, Larry's years of proven leadership are needed in City Hall. |
