My ADVANCED TRAINING IN SCHOOL BUSINESS FINANCE, degrees in Business Finance, professional experience in finance, planning and budgeting, and experience starting and running a successful business, make me uniquely qualified to assess the budget and critically review district expenditures.

Through the challenges of declining enrollment and the current state financial crisis, my ability to understand and maintain educational priorities along with financial accountability and transparency has enabled our district to remain prudent while in our actions and maintain an outstanding educational program.

My education includes: BS and MBA in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Southern California; completion of the ACSA (Assoc. of California School Administrators) School Business Finance Academy; CASBO (California School Business Officials) Business Academy at SDSU.

My professional experience includes: Manager of Strategic Planning for Honeywell; Manager of Financial Analysis for MAI International; Financial Analyst for the County of San Diego; Education Coordinator for Cox Communications.
