Issues

The issues I believe need the greatest attention are:

Children First - A School Board must put the children before the administration. Administrative costs should never exceed 8% of the budget. Funds are meant to be spent directly on the children and not on district administrative costs.

Parental Decision Making - A Board must involve parents in the decision making process. Parents have the best interest of their children at heart, so who better to advocate for them.

Accountability to Taxpayers - A Board must be fiscally responsible always asking the tough questions. Is this expenditure necessary? Does the Board have all the information necessary to make an informed decision? Can we get better value for our dollar? Have we gone through a competitive bid process?
