Micromanagement, poor decision-making, lack of communication, absence of long-range plans, and fiscal irresponsibility are undermining the quality of one of the finest elementary school districts in the state!

I WILL RESTORE THE BUILDING BLOCKS OF SUCCESS AT DMUSD BY: Establishing long-range goals and collaborative strategic planning Implementing financially responsible decision making Recognizing the Board's role, while supporting and enabling the expertise of professional staff Unifying and communicating with the community Regaining the Board's ability to work together to create the best educational environment for students.

LEADERSHIP: I am an Attorney/mediator, who has advised numerous businesses and boards of directors of successful courses of action. Served on DMUSD Financial Task Force. EDUCATION:I hold a B.A. in Speech/Communication, from CSU, Northridge and a Juris Doctorate degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. I was admitted to the California State Bar in 1992. I recently underwent formal Mediation training, at the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution, at Pepperdine University, School of Law.

BACKGROUND: I have been married for 19 years to Sandy, and have three children, one recently graduated from Ashley Falls School within the district, two continuing at Ashley Falls.

I AM COMMITTED TO UNIFYING THE COMMUNITY IN THE COMMON GOAL OF EXCEPTIONAL EDUCATION.
