Accomplishments are a better predictor of success than political promises, safety and reliability have been a top priority for me.

My vision and being trained as a Certified Policy Maker by California Special Districts Academy has helped bring Leucadia Wastewater District to the forefront of:

Water Recycling + 10 years ahead of the curve, generating our own electricity from waste at EWA; supplying irrigation water for La Costa golf course for over 15 years.

Heat drying of sludge and selling bio-solids for fertilizer mix and alternative fuel. Member of original fact finding team eight years ago to find best alternative solution to hauling and dumping of sludge in landfills. Up and running system is only 9th in USA, saving millions of dollars and ensuring a future revenue stream.

Winning 33 state-wide awards for excellence in safety, plant management, environmental protection, finances and risk management; awarded 2010 "District of Distinction".

Protecting the ocean and environment highest priority; put redundant protection systems in place; ensuring constant inspection and maintenance of pipes and pumps.
