Kevin believes that being elected to serve on the Sonoma Valley Healthcare Board is a public trust. He is a strong advocate of open and accountable government. He is known for quality, reliability, and possessing exceptional technical skills and knowledge, coupled with a "can do" attitude...enabling him to lead and manage complex issues and organizations effectively and efficiently.

A PROVEN TRACK RECORD

Kevin was appointed by the Sonoma Valley Hospital Board to the "watch dog" group established by the voters,, the "Citizen's Bond Oversight Committee" and was elected Vice-Chairman. He was the public member on the recent Hospital CEO Search Committee, which led to the hiring of Ms. Kelly Mather. Kevin is recognized and respected for his ability to address problems and issues in an open, thoughtful, collaborative manner, always focused on what is best for the community.

KNOWS HEALTH CARE FACILITIES Kevin was responsible for successfully leading the planning, design and construction of two acute care hospitals, a skilled nursing facility, a medical office building, conducting seismic assessments and remodeling hospitals. Kevin now works in the private sector assisting other states and local government agencies develope large capital construction projects.

STRONG WORK ETHIC Kevin, being industrious, got his first job delivering newspapers at age 12. He worked through college and after graduating from San Diego State University worked for San Diego County in their juvenile and adult rehabilitation facilities. Kevin then moved up to be the Assistant Director of their training academy. In Santa Clara County Kevin was the General Services Agency Director, responsible for several organizations including 911 Communications, Information Services, Registrar of Voters, and the design, construction and maintenance of county facilities. He was appointed to high level executive positions by two California Governors. When he left state government he was responsible for a $7+ billion operating budget and 57,000 employees.

FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE

Kevin knows the importance of spending our limited dollars wisely. He knows how to live within budgets and make tough decisions. He led the $4+ billion California state construction program that received the coveted Rutgers University, Center for Public Productivity Award. Kevin has consistently proven to be a responsible steward of our tax dollars.
