Candidate for
Board Member; Cotati/Rohnert Park Unified School District

My name is Marc Orloff and I respectfully ask for your vote. I am running for Cotati-Rohnert Park School Board. I have been a resident of Rohnert Park since 1998. Five of my six children currently attend school in the district.

Our school district has faced many budgetary challenges. Efforts to resolve many of these issues have failed ultimately leading to the closure of two elementary schools and a middle school within the last 4 years. Business as usual is not acceptable. We need to think outside the box. Collaborative input within the community is important in bringing change and fiscal independence to our district. The current board has served for a number of years with little opposition. It is time for a change. Fresh, creative ideas are essential and I can deliver.

I have served the community for numerous years on various non-profit boards. I spent five years on the Cotati-Rohnert Park Education Foundation executive board as its treasurer. I have been involved in many youth sports programs through coaching and board membership. I am committed to this community and I am hoping you will vote for me in November.
