Mito is driven by the desire to bring accountability and transparency to the City of West Hollywood. Mito's determination, empathy, and genuine concern for his community make him an ideal candidate for creating policy that represents the interests of the residents of West Hollywood and preserves the character of "The Creative City." Mito: worked for Congresswoman Hilda L. Solis, the current Labor Secretary for President Obama's Administration, on veteran affairs, worker's rights, and renter's rights interned as an organizer for SEIU local 399 and fought for accountability and transparency in hospitals. campaigned door-to-door for former Northeast Los Angeles Councilor Victor Griego's election, a prominent figure in the labor movement, where Mito inspired the largest voter turnout in the history of the South Los Angeles precinct. Worked as campaign staff for the reelection of LGBTQ pioneer, Assembly Member Jackie Goldberg. wrote as political columnist for the West Hollywood Patch on important issues, such as development, the West Hollywood General Plan, the Russian Community, and Gay rights. Mito is currently: the President of a Visual Merchandising/ Branding Consulting small business an active member of the West Hollywood/ Beverly Hills Democratic Club and The Stonewall Democratic Club a member of the West Hollywood Smoking Ban Task Force, representing residents and their interests/concerns pertaining to the proposed smoking Ban a renter in the East side of the City of West Hollywood |
