• Guns Must be off the streets! Committed to vigorous prosecution of illegal gun possession and use, Neighborhood crime watches, Public surveillance cameras in crime hot-spots and Police foot patrol to reduce crime and the fear of crime;
• A major sustainable, initiative against neighborhood blight and criminal activity brought about by many vacant and abandoned properties that stretch across the district; Absentee and slum landlord law enforcement, improved street paving program;
• Youth programs that reduce violence and promote healthy development of all children;
• Support existing and future development efforts with balanced plan to improve entire district and attract employment opportunities that pay fair wages with benefits; Work with business community to continue growth pattern that parts of the district have enjoyed;
• Housing legislation to help seniors and veterans.

• I am committed to returning CDBG Funds back to the control of the 9th Council District while it still exists. Under my watch, future funds will be allocated within the current budget year to those with legitimate needs not political cronies during campaign time.
