How to fund the budget without a tax increase or laying people off1. The budget for instruction and support services is inflated by more than 4 million dollars 2. The $800000 in budgetary reserve can be significantly reduced by using the 5.7 million dollar fund balance to pay for emergencies 3. The million dollars in the budget for capital repairs can be paid for from the 5.7 million dollar fund balance 4. The 2.5 million dollars in the budget for salary increases is 1.5 million dollars more than would be necessary if salaries for teachers and administration were frozen except for step and column raises to which teachers are legally entitled |
