I attended Archbishop Kennedy High School in Conschohocken and then Spring Garden College in Chestnut Hill where I studied Architectural Design and Construction Technologies. Upon leaving school, I opted for a career in federal public service where I serveed for 20 years. During that tenure, my role placed me in close contact with the community, and I was recognized for outstanding service and dedication. I also served two terms as a union representative and local branch trustee. In the mid-90s I began my environmental career working for an international company with a primary focus on air quality management. Notably, some key projects include superfund clean-up sites in Alaska, California, and Missouri, in addition to the Columbia Shuttle Disaster Recovery Effort in based Texas. In addition, I am experienced in the operation and maintenance of water and waste water treatment plants, having worked as the operator at a municipal wastewater treatment plant processing in excess of 1 million gallons of wastewater per day, and at a treatment facility providing clean potable water to a private residential community serving more than 200 homes. Most recently, my career has taken a more local turn working for an engineering firm where my focus has been conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Asbestos and Mold Inspections, Soils and Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling, and Municipal Construction Oversight with a focus on installations of storm water management systems, curb and sidewalk construction and roadway resurfacing. |
