Some things which I have been able to accomplish include:For many years El Dorado Hills' ratepayers paid higher water rates than anyone else in the county. That was wrong. I made it right by convincing fellow board members to approve a policy of "one set of rates for all of EID", saving EDH ratepayers millions of dollars. I made the motion to cut the 2010 and subsequent budgets an additional one million dollars, which slashed almost seven million from the original proposal. EID came in under budget for 2010 and is slated to come in under budget again in 2011. I approved reducing the Capital Improvement Plan by 55 mi1lion over the next five years. EID will spend only the minimum required to deliver safe, clean, reliable services. When bullying bureaucrats tried to steal our water at Folsom Reservoir, I insisted that we fight them. We sued and won, so that EDH residents will have water, even in dry years. I pushed for more recycle water use to save money for recycle water users and to preserve precious water supplies. I championed the solar electric plan at the El Dorado Hills Waste Water Treatment plant. It saves EID ratepapers money while protecting the environment. |
