From patient advocate to student advocate
As a Registered Nurse, I have 25 years experience advocating for patients. I keep an open mind and I do not hesitate to speak up when necessary. As a board member I will advocate on behalf of the needs of the most essential participants of a school district: students, and be willing to do so at the local, state and national levels. As a member of California Nurses Association I have been an outspoken advocate for education and healthcare funding. I have traveled to Washington DC and Sacramento urging legislators to support increased funding for education and healthcare.
