Political Philosophy for Denver Dale
Candidate for |

Cypress Fire Protection District continues to enjoy a strong fiscal position (including significant cash reserves) as a result of many years of prudent fiscal management by its board. I intend to continue this tradition of strong fiscal responsibility in concert with the district's long record of providing the highest levels of service and protection in the Monterey County region. Under my leadership during these uncertain economic times, the CFPD board has continued to deliver impressive results to the district's residents, including:
1. A significant increase in district fire protection- and prevention services; a. In December 2009 CFPD and Monterey Peninsula Airport District entered into an agreement which has allowed for constant availability of the Airport fire engine to not only better serve the Jack's Peak, Del Monte and Josselyn Canyon areas of the CFPD but also the Cities of Monterey, Seaside, Del Rey Oaks and Monterey County Regional Fire Protection District; b. In May 2011 CFPD joined with the Pebble Beach Community Services District Fire Department and the Carmel Highlands Fire Protection District to provide administrative oversight to the California State University Monterey Bay Fire and Emergency Services Department; this agreement has significantly enhanced cooperation and service levels within all participating jurisdictions. |
