Building San Francisco's economy and creating jobs for our residents have been David's top priorities as President of the Board of Supervisors, and will continue to be at the top of his list as Mayor. David will protect the jobs of today while making sure the jobs of tomorrow are created right here in San Francisco.The history of our city is one of people coming here from around the world for opportunity - those searching for Gold Mountain, immigrants seeking the American dream, technology entrepreneurs hunting for the next big thing. But in the aftermath of the recession, too many San Franciscans are struggling just to hang on; they are unsure of where their next paycheck will come from or if it will come at all. Building San Francisco's economy and creating jobs for our residents have been David's top priorities as President of the Board of Supervisors, and will continue to be at the top of his list as Mayor. David will protect the jobs of today while making sure the jobs of tomorrow are created right here in San Francisco. As Supervisor, David has promoted job growth by eliminating dozens of the fees nickle and diming local small businesses. He has supported programs such as Local Hiring and JobsNow2 that provide incentives for businesses to hire San Franciscans. David has also been a champion of reforming our business tax to make sure the jobs of the 21st century innovation economy remain here in San Francisco where they belong. David has both the public sector and private sector experience to create jobs. He is the only currently elected official running for Mayor who has experience in founding and running a business in San Francisco.
