Why am I running for re-election? It is an honor to have served on the Redwood City Elementary School District for the past eight years. I want to continue to make a difference in our children's lives. I believe that if you want to create a better society we must improve the lives of children. If we have children that are under-educated they will be doomed economically. Do we want citizens that are educated and successful or do we want citizens that need support services or end up in prison? The surest way out of poverty is getting a good education. With over thirty-five years mentoring students in some form or fashion, it is very rewarding to make a difference in their lives. In these times of budget cuts and no sign of relief for four or more years I have the knowledge about the intricacies of the school district and know how to ensure we are spending our money as efficiently as possible, while delivering a quality education. Over the past eight years we have had many accomplishments in the Redwood City School District. I am most proud of:
