The 15 AcresBy Steven Tatsuo "Steve" OkamotoCandidate for Council Member; City of Foster City | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
How I assess the two proposals. Two distinct proposals were presented to the City on how they would develop the 15 acres behind the fire station. The council requested that any development contain senior housing, a town center and some retail. I would like to share with you how, if I were on the current council, would have assessed each proposal. The two developments are "Sares Regis/Presbyterian" and "Foster City Community Partners". Each brought different views on how they would structure their ideas. In my decision making process I try and engage as many people as I can and learn from everyone. Then with my education, experience and age, I chose the final decision. However, the final decision is still weighed against how it would affect the health and welfare of all residents and how it would affect the financial health of the city. |
