What Modesto Needs

Candidate for Councilmember; City of Modesto; District 1

This information is provided by the candidate
Reduce operating expense and better utilization of City of Modesto Facilities,
Modesto is a vibrant community centered on agriculture and industry. The people of Modesto made this an All-American City, and as we move into the 21st century, I want to see that standard maintained by improving:
  • Safety --Firefighters and Policemen
  • Fiscal Responsibility
  • Essential Services--Transportation
  • Utilization of City of Modesto Facilities

The City Council has reduced our operating expenses by 25 percent in the last three years sharing the sacrifice with Police, Firefighters and City Administration. Tough decisions are still to be made. Needs must be addressed and wants tabled until the economy improves. My candidacy is based on my desire to continue the good work of the City Council in reducing the budget, yet fund the essential services the citizens of Modesto deserve.
