As Berj Parseghian grew up in Alpena, Michigan, his sense of justice was forged by his immigrant parents, who taught him the importance of hard work, honesty and service to others. Berj was a dedicated student, graduating with honors from the University of Michigan in 1994. He then followed family members to Los Angeles and worked toward his doctorate in chemistry at Caltech. Having always been interested in the law, Berj decided that the analytical skills he developed while studying chemistry would serve him well as an attorney. He left Caltech to pursue a law degree and graduated from UCLA at the top of his class. After passing the California bar, Berj joined a local law firm where he worked on environmental and lender liability cases. With more than a decade of litigation experience and over 1,000 cases as a volunteer temporary judge, Berj is now running for Los Angeles Superior Court Judge. Legal Experience Berj Parseghian has represented both plaintiffs and defendants, including individuals, businesses and government agencies, in a wide variety of legal matters.
Throughout his legal career, Berj Parseghian has been active in his community, using his legal skills as a volunteer temporary judge, an arbitrator and an advocate for victims of domestic violence and consumer fraud.
