Member, Democratic Party County Central Committee; County of Los Angeles; Assembly District 66

I consider myself a proud liberal Democrat and support Governor Brown and President Obama on most issues. I want to briefly elaborate on the three issues I've chosen to highlight.

I'm very committed to universal, quality public education and have become alarmed at the seeming loss of commitment to that goal among some members of our society. I pledge to stand in support of public education and in educational innovations that strengthen the public education system.

I support the President's Affordable Care Act and hope that it will lead to single payer healthcare in the future. I truly believe single payer healthcare will save resources and provide the best possible care for all Americans.

Watching other states work to disenfranchise their citizens makes me realize how great California is but also that we must staunchly guard against voter suppression efforts gaining any foothold in our state. Also, as someone who has worked the polls for about 10 years, I see how difficult a simple act of voting and counting those votes can be. We must vigilantly maintain the integrity of our voting process.
